Saddle and traction pin, as the key parts of semi-trailer connection force, are subjected to multi-dimensional space torque, alternating load and dynamic impact force in the process of vehicle operation. The force system is complex and high requirements for use. Before connecting, carefully check whether there is enough lubricating grease on the saddle plate of the tractor, and whether there are other foreign bodies on the traction pin and traction slide plate of the semi-trailer to ensure the cleanliness of the traction slide plate.

1. Adjust the support leg to suit the semi-trailer traction slide plate and traction saddle height. Generally, the semi-trailer traction slide plate is 1-3 cm lower than the center of the upper plane of the tractor traction saddle, and be careful not to be too high. Otherwise, sometimes not only can not be connected, but also damage the traction seat, traction pin and related parts.

2. Operate the locking mechanism of traction seat to make the locking block open and become free.

3. When the tractor is backward, the center line of the tractor and the semi-trailer should be consistent, and the deviation of the center line of the two vehicles should be limited to less than 40 mm. After the saddle mouth of the tractor is aligned with the traction pin, the tractor and semi-trailer will be successfully pulled when the lock block is returned to its position.

4. Check whether the locking block of traction seat locks the traction pin and is firmly locked.

5. Move the tractor forward slightly to check that the connection is good.

The tractor is connected to the electrical circuit of the semi-trailer

In addition to the saddle and traction pin connection, the tractor and semi - trailer electrical connection is also very important.

1. Connect the two air pipe joints on the tractor (commonly known as handshake) to the two air pipe joints on the semi-trailer respectively. At this time, the gas supply pipeline of the tractor is connected with the gas supply pipeline of the semi-trailer, and the control pipeline of the tractor is connected with the control pipeline of the semi-trailer (pay attention to the color of the joint: same color installation, do not install the opposite).

2. After the air joints are connected with each other, the semi-trailer air path connection separation switch on the tractor should be unscrewed to make it in ventilation state, otherwise it cannot supply air to the semi-trailer braking system and the braking system cannot work.

3. Start the engine, observe the pressure gauge in the cab, and raise the pressure in the air cylinder of the tractor and semi-trailer to the specified pressure.

4. Check whether there is air leakage, check whether the brake system works normally.

5. Insert the cable connection plug of the tractor into the seven-hole socket at the front end of the semi-trailer until it is stuck on the card block of the seven-hole latch.

6. Check whether the electrodes are connected well, and confirm whether the side lights, tail lights and other lights work normally.
